Earlier this year, we sent you an agency survey to gather your feedback on how GuideOne can be easier to do business with. As a result of your responses, we’re exploring a number of ways we can improve your experience with us. Effective immediately, I am pleased to announce the following changes:
- Pictures are not required with your new business applications. Your underwriters will use Google and another application we recently invested in to get images of the property location(s).
- We will accept competitor new business supplemental applications. Your underwriter will ask additional questions, if more information is needed.
- You are responsible for obtaining and retaining signatures for all other supplemental applications in your files and do not need to send the signed copies for our files in most cases.
- You are responsible for obtaining and retaining signatures for Acord applications in your files and do not need to send the signed copies for our files.
- We are eliminating the 18% business personal property (BPP) minimum limit. Your underwriter may review lower BPP limits with you and work with you to make any needed changes.
- The older driver age is being raised to age 75 and greater.
- Physician statements for older drivers will no longer be requested or used.
Our goal is to provide you with the superior level of service and support you expect from GuideOne. That’s why we are implementing these underwriting changes that focus on making it easier and faster for you to do business with us.
More changes will be coming soon. Among other things, we are expanding our Business Owner’s Policy (BOP) eligibility for churches; exploring the elimination of cost guides; simplifying our supplemental applications; modernizing our SafeChurch site; rolling out a new billing system; and, exploring additional agent self-service functionality in GuideLink.
If you have questions about these changes, please contact your GuideOne Territory Account Executive or Inside Sales Representative.
Thank you,
Dave
