Southwest Territory Update

Fall is in full swing and with it comes a variety of seasonal activities, along with some necessary chores – including preparing for the cooler temperatures ahead. As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and as it relates to insurance, taking precautions can mitigate losses/claims. On the new business front, GuideOne’s expanded coverages helped us secure a new mid-sized religious organization ($32,000 annual premium). In particular, our Faithguard form coverages along with the GuideVantage risk mitigation programs (specifically Roost and our partnership with Strategos). The combination of these things were the key to having our distribution partner win the account away from the incumbent carrier and broker. As a follow up to my October message concerning the wildfires, both California and Colorado are experiencing record breaking devastation. This is personal to me, as I know people being evacuated and even losing their homes. This puts “what’s important” into perspective, and as we approach Thanksgiving and the holidays, we should all take some time to reflect on all we have to be thankful for during these challenging times.

I wish you a peaceful and healthy Thanksgiving holiday and hope you can spend time with your family and friends.
