We are finally in the home stretch of 2020, and while I strive to finish this year, I also look forward to the start of a new year. This year has presented many challenges, and I think we are all ready for a set of fresh beginnings.
As you begin to close the chapter on 2020 and plan for 2021, keep GuideOne in mind! Our team is here to help you reach your goals and win together. We are implementing new initiatives across the company and are excited to see where they take us in the upcoming year.
New Territory Underwriting Team: The new underwriting structure allows for better alignment between your team and ours, and we would like to get to know you better. If you haven’t had a chance to meet your new territory underwriting team, let me know, and I would be happy to set up an introductory online session.
Changes in Property Market: As I’m sure you are aware, recent storms and weather patterns across the United States have caused an increased number of property claims, resulting in industry-wide rate increases. For more information and statistics related to weather and climate disasters, read the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information’s Billion-Dollar Weather Disasters in 2020, and let either myself or your underwriting team know if you have specific questions and/or concerns about your GuideOne policies.
Sexual Abuse and Molestation Coverage: We realize that no amount of money could ever be enough to compensate for what victims experience in an abuse situation. As such, we have created a number of materials and resources your customers can utilize as they seek ways to prevent these occurrences. When insureds are faced with a claim, remember GuideOne offers separate occurrence and aggregate limits ranging from $25,000/$50,000 up to $1M/$3M on the underlying policy.
I wish you all the best this holiday season. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving with your loved ones!
Casey
