Why GuideOne Insurance

As I emphasized in the December GuideOne Monthly, you are a very important distribution partner to me, to our territory and to GuideOne! My goal this year is to optimize my relationship with you by further developing the key characteristics of successful and sustainable partnerships:

  1. Mutually beneficial relationships
  2. Agreed-upon objectives
  3. Measurable results
  4. Ability to evolve and adapt

By definition, mutually beneficial means both parties are benefiting by the business relationship. How do we benefit all of our distribution partners? By assisting you in attracting, obtaining and retaining new and existing clients. How does GuideOne benefit? By building relationships with high-quality distribution partners.

Many of you may have heard of or read the book Start with Why by Simon Sinek. This book offers insights into first understanding why people and organizations do what they do to help influence desired results.

At GuideOne, our Why is to create insurance products that protect the people and organizations who strengthen our communities through their work in churches, nonprofit and human services organizations and educational institutions.

I believe that our distribution partners and your producers, account managers, CSRs, Principals and staff have a similar Why. We genuinely appreciate the existing accounts and future opportunities you provide to protect your clients who strengthen and enhance our communities. Together, we can Be the Change.

On a final note, please read BillingCenter Revisited, below, for additional information on BillingCenter.

Boiler Inspections...It's Time

Boiler inspections are a critical step in ensuring the safe operation of the boiler and overall facility. Applicable policyholders should take the time now to prepare for and schedule their inspection.

Remember that effective May 1, 2020, GuideOne teamed up with Travelers BoilerRe (TSB) to provide Equipment Breakdown coverage on our Commercial Property and Business Owner’s Policies. This change took place for all policies effective on or after 5/1/2020.

Policyholders needing to schedule a jurisdictional boiler inspection will need to identify their GuideOne policy effective date to determine the appropriate equipment breakdown reinsurer.

For tips on boiler inspection preparations and other important things to keep in mind, see our recent blog post, “It’s Time for Your Boiler Inspection.”
