Territory Update

The new year marks a great time to commit to goals and put a strategy in place to accomplish them. Goals are important in all areas of life. Pablo Picasso once stated, “Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.”

For you to find success with GuideOne, I’m here to work with you to cultivate opportunities. GuideOne provides competitive products and services that you can offer to churches, nonprofits, and educational institutions, along with our value-added services available through our GuideVantage program.

We write churches of all sizes. Smaller churches may be eligible for our Business Owner’s Policy (BOP), which you can quote yourself in our Small Business portal in as few as 20 minutes! Large churches with child care services and schools can be emailed to Commercial@GuideOne.com for our underwriting team to review and provide quotes.

We are also growing strong in our Nonprofit & Human Services niche. With a broad appetite of 300+ class codes, we continue to have success in providing various nonprofits the comprehensive coverages they need. If you would like to discuss this niche, please give me a call. I am happy to review your opportunities to ensure GuideOne is the right fit for them.

Finally, we have recently experienced several wins in our Education niche. We offer specialized coverages for K-12 schools and charter schools. Additionally, we have many GuideVantage services and programs that can help protect students and staff at educational and youth-oriented organizations. Be sure to read our GuideVantage Spotlight below to learn more about non-violent intervention trainings available to GuideOne policyholders.   could help you reach your goal.

As always, I am here to serve you and our insureds. If you’d like to discuss how GuideOne can help you reach your 2021 goals, please reach out! My direct line is 636-688-4216 and my email is bcarriger@GuideOne.com.

Boiler Inspections...It's Time

Boiler inspections are a critical step in ensuring the safe operation of the boiler and overall facility. Applicable policyholders should take the time now to prepare for and schedule their inspection.

Remember that effective May 1, 2020, GuideOne teamed up with Travelers BoilerRe (TSB) to provide Equipment Breakdown coverage on our Commercial Property and Business Owner’s Policies. This change took place for all policies effective on or after 5/1/2020.

Policyholders needing to schedule a jurisdictional boiler inspection will need to identify their GuideOne policy effective date to determine the appropriate equipment breakdown reinsurer.

For tips on boiler inspection preparations and other important things to keep in mind, see our recent blog post, “It’s Time for Your Boiler Inspection.”
